The aim of the Project is to develop, apply, generalize and support the capacities of the companies with a mecatronic curriculum that is modular, flexible, modern and suitable for EU standards including the successful experience and applications of Germany required for Konya Metallic Equipment, Measurement, Mechanical Industry, Chemistry, Petroleum, Rubber, Plastic Industry and Textile, Weaving, Confection, Leather Industry with the help of information and communication Technologies.

Specific objective: A modular occupational education programme will be developed by transferring occupational curriculum applied in Germany in the area of mechatronic to the universities and local educators and its pilot application will be done. Generalization will be provided by the establishment of Multiplicators and the dialog between the university and industry.

Native and foreign part-time experts charged within the Project will give training to update the technical information of native education experts from the universities and companies. The training module prepared by native and foreign experts is going to be tested as a talent development education on total 60 workers working in the stated companies. The Project outputs will be generalized with activities such as web portal, seminar, brochures, etc.and it will be presented as a model for civilian society organizations such as MEB, İŞKUR and related ones.

The aim of the project is improvement of language competences in the languages Turkish, Finnish and Hungarian and to strengthen a dialog among different countries and cultures through a new method. The NEWAP team develops a language-learning system based on the basic pattern of a language with focus on concrete experiences related cultural implications and relevant language items located in situations in the target language environment. The NEWAP team does not only develop language materials but it brings distance cultures together. The project applies the observation that the effort to understand related languages implies an exercise in comparing, and it therefore provides a basis for elementary comparison.

The method stresses structural similarities as vowel harmony, lack of gender, agglutinative typology, with correspondences within three languages, reconstructing common proto-forms, explaining the developments leading from them. The basic module makes possible to learn three languages at the same time by comparative approach. The products are language-learning materials cover Finnish, Hungarian and Turkish as foreign languages consist of a basic module for comparative approach for three languages and three separate modules for basic level A2 for each language, with workbook, audio- /video files and glossary.

Projects achievement is the open and unbiased sharing of information and knowledge; informing each European country population about the unique characteristics of another European country population. Knowledge of the “other” will only help to establish bridges between people.  POWAR project aspires to contribute to the knowledge of the “other” and thus to the afore-mentioned goals. Organizations participating in the project are active in various fields, thus being complementary to one another and offering to the project a kaleidoscopic perspective on the issues at hand.

New technologies have facilitated the implementation of the project. They have enhanced the effort to bring together isolated groups of people living in remote corners of Europe and make them express their opinion. Our different past, however, is but a past. The future and the common goals lie ahead. Our knowledge of the “other’s” past makes us less rigorous in our judgement of the “other”, providing us with greater understanding, making us more tolerant and willing to co-operate in order to create a common future for a united Europe.

VOLICITY involves Turkish speaking young people (aged 16-25 years) in Germany, Turkey and the UK working in partnership with Creative Industry employers in each country. The aim is to design and accredit a training programme that enables young people to gain skills, knowledge and experience about work in the Creative Industries. The training programme will be available as an e-learning course in three languages (English, German and Turkish) in 2007.

The project VOLICITY will develop a competence based model of pre-vocational and pre-employment learning which will combine generic employability and key skills with learning and skills development specific to employment in the cultural and creative industries (CCI). At its core will be a structured unit- based e-learning programme in three languages (English, German, Turkish) for use by disadvantaged young people (aged 16 – 25) from Turkish-speaking communities in the three partner countries – UK, Germany and Turkey.

The aim of the project prepared by the partnership of MESS, ESTA and MEV is to develop and disseminate a modular, flexible and contemporary vocational training programme of high quality in the field of electronic control technologies for the automotive industry, by making use of information and communication technologies and by incorporating Germany’s successful experience and practices.

Within the framework of the project, an electronic control technicians training module compatible with the demands of today’s ever-changing workforce and economy was implemented and introduced through strengthened dialogue and enhanced cooperation between the industrial and educational institutions operating in the automotive industry. The output of the project was disseminated through a web site, seminars, booklets, etc. and was proposed as a model for MEB, İŞKUR and related NGOs.

The project also aimed at the following:

– to ensure the inclusion of employers, of whom the workforce has social aspects,  in the vocational education and training process though social dialogue.

– to construct a training model for MEB and İŞKUR and to disseminate this model among other industries,

– to compansate the automotive electronic control technicians shortage in the enterprises that operate in MEGEP pilot cities, i.e. Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, Kocaeli, Izmir,

– to ensure that the theoretical and practical training is provided in line with the market requirements and in world standards by adapting the contents of the training according to the specifications of the enterprises.

The training module prepared by local and foreign experts with the aim of promoting vocational skills would be tested on some 350 workers employed in the automotive industry.

The companies of DaimlerChrysler group , to which our company belongs as a subsidiary company as well as other bus producers in Ulm and Mannheim, need a flexible,  mobile and qualified work force, which can be utilized at maximum efficiency and productivity in other production facilities in other locations or countries. Within this context, we believe that it would be a great step if we could intialize a mobility project with our EvoBus partners in Ulm and Mannheim, to provide further improvement opportunities for our apprentices which are studying at vocational high schools and attend our Technical Training Center to be improved both on personel and proffesional skills by our trainers and instructors on different branches like Metal Sheet Working, Automative Electrics and Electronics, Painting, Mechanics and Mechatronics.
